Chlorophyll

Chlorophyll are any of the multiple green pigments made by plants to trap the sunlight needed during photosynthesis. Chlorophyll compounds have a long hydrocarbon tail attached to a porphyrin ring that makes the pigments fat soluble and water insoluble.[1]
