Lauric acid is a compound and is one of the four types of medium chain triglycerides. It comprises about half the fatty-acid content in coconut milk, coconut oil, laurel oil, and palm kernel oil.[1][2] It also found in human breast milk (6.2% of total fat), cow milk (2.9%), and goat milk (3.1%). Otherwise, lauric acid is relatively uncommon.
