Cattle are any of the mammals in the Bos genus. Cattle are the most common type of large domesticated hoofed animals. An adolescent cattle is called a calf, an adult female is called a cow, an adult male is called a bull, and a castrated adult male is called an ox.[1]

Cattle are commonly raised as livestock for meat (beef and veal), milk, their skin to make leather, and their labor to pull carts, plows, and other devices. A byproduct of raising cattle is dung, which can be used to create manure or fuel.
