Meat is tissue from animals that is used as food. It most often is used to describe muscle and fat from mammals but can also used for organs such as liver, brain, and kidneys as well as tissue from non-mammals such as chickens, fish, and insects. Animals commonly eaten for meat are cattle, pigs, sheep, deer, fish, chickens, ducks, turkeys, rabbits and insects.
