Nylon

Nylon is a family of plastics made from specific polymers developed in the 1930s by DuPont an alternative to silk. The polymers can be mixed with various substances to achieve different variations in properties which provides nylon with a variety of uses, such as fibers made into cloth and ropes, films, or rigid shaped such as a toothbrush handle.
