Gopher wire

Gopher wire is wire designed for direct soil contact to prevent plant destruction from gophers.

Gopher wire is 3/4 inch hex woven steel that is galvanized after being woven. It is placed in direct contact with soil to prevent prevent plant destruction above from gophers. It has a similar appearance to chicken wire and hardware cloth, however, both chicken wire and hardware cloth will prematurely rust as they were not designed for direct soil contact.

Plants must be at least 2 inches above the gopher wire.
