A farm is the land used for growing crops or raising livestock for commercial purposes. Modern farms are typically controlled by one owner or manager and grow crops in a monoculture setting.

Elements a typical small farm might have include a house, greenhouse, garden, chicken pens, water storage tank, compost pile, beehives, nursery area, potting shed, woodlot, dam, aquaculture pond, windbreak, barn, tool shed, woodpile, guest house, pasture, hedgerow, and worm beds.[1]
