Ultraviolet

Ultraviolet (abbreviated as UV) is part of the electromagnetic spectrum with wavelengths between 10nm and 400nm. The wavelengths are shorter than visible light and cannot be directly seen by humans, though many animals can see ultraviolet light. Ultraviolet radiation accounts for 10% of the radiated energy from sunlight.
