A serpentine wall is a type of brick wall that is strong but uses few bricks.

A serpentine wall is a thin wavy brick wall structure that uses less bricks than a thin one with buttressing or a traditional thicker linear brick wall. The convex and concave wave provides stability to resist lateral forces despite being only one brick thick. The walls are usually aligned east to west to allow one sun exposed side that creates warmer microclimates inside the bends for growing produce that needs warmer conditions.
