PostSecret is an example of a participatory art as it collects and displays anonymous secrets mailing in on postcards from the public.

Participatory art is an approach to making art which engages public participation in the creative process. It contrasts to the dominant form of making art where a small group of individuals makes art for passive observers or consumers.
