Egg

An egg is a vessel for an animal to develop inside until it can survive on its own, at which point the animal hatches.

Chickens and ducks regularly lay eggs which are eaten as food.

Hardboiled chicken eggs

• 18 eggs
• 3 cups water

1. Place water in instant pot
2. Place eggs in steamer basket
3. Close instant pot lid and set vent to seal
4. Pressure cook for 9 minutes
5. Unplug and release steam
6. Leave eggs inside instant pot for 5 minutes
7. Remove eggs from instant pot and place in an ice bath
8. Leave eggs in ice bath for 5 minutes
