Calcium carbonate (CaCO₃) is a compound comprised of calcium, carbon, and oxygen. It is a common substance found in rock formation all over the world and is the main component of seashells and eggshells. It is usually the main cause of hard water. It can be used as a calcium supplement or used to treat antacid.
