Agroforestry is the combination of agriculture and forestry and a method to integrate crops with trees and other woody plants. Agroforests used land that is primarily focused on trees for lumber, pulp, or other wood products, whereas a forest garden has a similar approach that places an equal emphasis on all layers of a planned forest, while a forest farm grow under the canopy of an existing forest. All three have parallel approaches that sometimes lead to similar designs.
