Solanum lycopersicum (common name: tomato) is a fruit.

Companion plants

Plant tomatoes alongside gooseberries to give protection against insects, garlic to give protection against red spider mites, and asparagus to give protection against asparagus beetles.[1]

Compatible with chives, onion, parsley, marigold, nasturtium, and carrot[1]

Avoid all members of the brassica, potatoes, and fennel[1]
